The worst laundromat I’ve ever been to. The machines sometimes ‘swallow’ your money, so we ended up paying about 3x as much as you would elsewhere (super overpriced to begin with). The drying machines are a joke, there’s only one that’s actually working. All the others are terrible. After ‘drying’ our clothes for an hour (!!) they were as wet as before and smelling awfully.

I’ll preface this with - I’m a foreigner in Germany and I love traveling and needed desperately to complete my wash due to climate change - hot weather in Baden-Württemberg. Well, if the change in global conditions weren’t bad enough, then having to walk the long way to this small laundromat in the Mills factory part of Lörrach for my automotive-focused American brain meant I put more miles on my shoes in one day than over the life of these shoes. If that wasn’t bad enough, then I must say my English-only language capability was insufficient to understand a foreign laundromat system alles auf Deutsch. It took me a long time, but I finally understood. Put the round metal pieces into the small black boxes and then put the clothes into the big white boxes that spin. If that wasn’t bad enough, when I went to put in coins into the change machine, the signage convinced me it would output 10 x 2 coins. It instead gave me 6 x 2, 2 x 1, and the remainder in .50 coins. Now if that wasn’t enough to stop me, then I needed to buy detergent. It only cost 1 and my clothes were very dirty, so I thought “why not” and tried to use the repurposed snack machine for buying detergent. That’s when the straw really broke the camel’s back. The bag of suspicious crystals slowly moved as the corkscrew turned, and the sandwich bag folded completely until finally, somehow, it came free of row C. Only to get stuck on row D. (I’ll attach pictures if possible.) As a rich foreigner, I decided 1 more is okay to ensure I get a bag, and trying to be kind I tried to reorder the bag from it’s new home in D7 to conserve more bags in the normal rows for my fellow washers. Not possible. So I had to reorder, this time on faith, from C6. This time, corkscrew spinning, hands sweating, I prayed for a miracle. And it came. Thanks for renewing my faith in programmable laundry machine technology. 5 stars.
